Desio is an exclusive, worldwide, online store offering a wide variety of colored contact lenses.
Customers who have had a proper eye check and know they can tolerate contact lenses are welcome to shop on our site.
Desio lenses are sold exclusively and solely on this online store. However, you can also find them in optical stores. Please click the following link to reach our store locator.
To order Desio contact lenses online, please visit our How to Order page. Here, you'll find detailed instructions on selecting the type of lenses you need, entering your prescription details, and completing the checkout process.
Desio offers a wide range of colored contact lenses including options for myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), plano (non-prescription), and toric lenses for astigmatism. Please note, we currently do not offer multifocal or bifocal lenses, but we are continuously working to expand our selection to meet more diverse needs.
This depends on your insurance policy. Some plans may cover the cost of prescription contact lenses but not cosmetic ones. Check with your insurance provider for specific coverage details.
Whether contacts are better than glasses depends on personal preferences, lifestyle, and specific visual needs. Contacts sit directly on the eye, providing a wider field of view and won't fog up or get splattered by mud or rain, making them a good choice for athletes and those active outdoors.
Desio lenses are made for those who simply want to change the color of their iris, as well as for those who have vision problems such as myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism. Please consult your ophthalmologist beforehand to determine if you need prescription lenses.
Desio lenses have received the following certifications:
Customers are welcome to raise a ticket through their account’s section MY TICKETS and attach their prescription.
Prescriptions must be issued by a licensed practitioner and include the eye doctor’s contact information, the customer's name, valid expiry date, and the parameters of the customer's eyes.
Quarterly lenses:
Monthly lenses:
Desio lenses are made from Polymacon (38% water content) or Hioxifilcon D (54% water content).
Contact lenses are not a one-size-fits-all solution. It is essential to verify with your eye care specialist before purchasing the lenses to ensure these parameters are suitable for your eyes (these parameters cannot be changed).
If your prescription requires different parameters for each eye, you will need to order two separate boxes.
One box will contain the correction for your left eye, while the other will contain the correction for your right eye. It is important to note that we are unable to open the original packaging and mix your prescriptions.
To ensure that you receive the correct order, please select the option "I need 2 different powers" when placing your order. This will allow you to select both corrections and ensure that your vision is properly corrected.
Desio toric lenses are now offered in a variety of quarterly collections, including the new Sensual Beauty Lenses collection, the Two Shades of Grey collection, the Coffee collection, and the Attitude quarterly 2-tones and 3-tones collections.
For individuals with dry eyes, our monthly contact lenses made from Hioxifilcon D are highly recommended. These lenses feature a 54% water content, providing excellent hydration throughout the day. This high level of moisture helps to reduce irritation and ensures clear vision, making them ideal for daily wear. They are especially beneficial for those who prioritize both comfort and eye health.
Our lenses suitable for dry eyes can be found in several of our collections:
Desio offers a range of vibrant and opaque colored lenses specifically designed to cover darker eye colors effectively, providing a natural-looking change.
The best contact lens depends on your vision requirements, comfort preference, and lifestyle needs. Consider whether you need them for vision correction or cosmetic purposes, and how often you plan to wear them.
When obtained from a reputable source like Desio and used according to our guidelines, colored contact lenses are safe. Consultation with an eye care professional is recommended, especially for prescription lenses.
Colored lenses should not adversely affect your vision when fitted correctly and prescribed by an eye care professional. However, if you experience discomfort or visual disturbances, remove the lenses and consult a specialist.
Yes, select models of Desio lenses do offer UV protection to help shield your eyes from harmful ultraviolet rays. Specifically, lenses from our Attitude Collection, Sale e Pepe 10th Anniversary line, Very Peri Unique, and the Timeless Collection are designed with UV protection. No, it is not recommended to layer contact lenses. If you need both color change and vision correction, opt for prescription colored lenses.
Proper care involves regularly cleaning and storing the lenses in appropriate solutions, handling them with clean hands, and following the specific care instructions provided with your lenses.
To remove Desio contact lenses, first wash and dry your hands thoroughly to prevent any contamination. Look up and gently pull down your lower eyelid. Carefully pinch the lens with your index finger and thumb and lift it away from your eye. Follow proper hygiene and handling techniques to avoid damaging the lens or introducing bacteria to the eye. For a step-by-step guide, visit our website.
To insert colored contacts, ensure your hands are clean and dry. Place the lens on the tip of your index finger, pull down your lower eyelid with your other fingers, look up, and gently place the lens on the lower part of your eye. Slowly release the eyelid and close your eye to allow the lens to settle. Blink a few times to center the lens. For more detailed instructions and tips, visit our website.
It is not recommended to swim with Desio contact lenses due to the risk of waterborne bacteria contaminating the lens and causing eye infections. If you must wear lenses while swimming, consider using waterproof goggles over them or opting for daily disposable lenses that you can discard immediately after swimming.
It is not recommended to shower with contact lenses. Showering while wearing contact lenses can expose them to water and increase the risk of eye infections. Tap water can contain microorganisms, most notably Acanthamoeba, which can attach to the surface of the contact lenses and cause infections, potentially leading to severe pain and even permanent vision loss. To protect your eye health, it's best to remove contact lenses before showering and put them back in afterwards, ensuring your hands are clean and dry during the process.
If you can feel the edges of your contact lenses, it may indicate that the lenses are not fitting correctly or that they have shifted in your eye. This sensation can sometimes lead to discomfort or irritation. Ensure your lenses are properly centered, and try blinking a few times to reposition them. If the feeling persists, the lenses might be damaged, or the fit might be incorrect for your eye shape. In such cases, it is recommended to remove the lenses and consult with an eye care professional to assess the fit and possibly explore alternative lens options or sizes.
Yes, contact lenses can freeze if exposed to very low temperatures, especially in environments well below the freezing point of water. When contact lenses freeze, they can become brittle and lose their shape and effectiveness. It's important to avoid leaving contact lenses in environments where they might be subjected to extreme cold, such as a car during a freezing winter night. Always store contact lenses at room temperature.
